Different walking surfaces would cause most shoe outsoles to behave differently as most brands manufacture different type of shoes to cater to such cases. For wet surfaces, most shoes will lose some of their traction as they are not slip resistance.
Some shoes lose their traction more than others however, this does not equate to the shoe being defective or having any quality issues.
You may consider getting anti-slip coating spray which is available online and use it on the base of the shoe. This will help to increase the grip and traction of the shoes when you are using them and practice caution while walking on wet surfaces in the future.
