Shoes making sounds (Caused)

Created by Skecher Customer Support, Modified on Thu, 17 Jul at 3:58 PM by Skecher Customer Support

We understand that hearing a squeaking sound from your new shoes can be frustrating, and we truly apologise for the inconvenience caused.

In many cases, squeaking is not due to a defect, but rather a result of friction, trapped moisture, or the materials adjusting to your feet during early wear. That said, we want to ensure you’re comfortable and confident with your SKECHERS.

? Common Causes of Squeaking

  1. Friction or Moisture Inside the Shoe

    • If your shoes have removable insoles, you may try:

      • Sprinkling a small amount of baby powder or talcum powder under the insole.

      • Applying a thin layer of petroleum jelly (e.g., Vaseline) to reduce friction between layers.

  2. Outsole Squeaking

    • Squeaks from the bottom of the shoe can occur when walking on smooth or polished floors. Walking on a dry, rough surface may help break in the outsole and reduce noise.
